Just a little interesting point to point out in case it affects anyone else... I put my '57 plate (late 2007) "new" Grand Vitara in for a service yesterday, the 10th of November... it's only done 9,500 miles, but went in for the service based on the 24 month category rather than the mileage...
Anyway, they rang me up yesterday to say it need new pads... and DISKS?!... on the front... seems they have been scratched as the pads have worn so much... I remonstrated (argued) with the service manager saying that it's not even done 10,000 miles yet... so they got onto Suzuki to see if they were allowed to do it under the warranty. I got a call later in the afternoon to say that Suzuki had, thank God, agreed to do it as part of the warranty, so the dealer have kept it overnight to replace the front disks and the front pads...
I just thought it pertinent to point this out, incase anyone else experiences premature wear...
