A tribute to the "Superzuki" Vitara

1995 - 2005

R.I.P.

 

In the beginning! Here she is outside my brother and sister in-laws who live in Pudsey,Leeds near the awesome Tong site! This was after a Suzuki Rhino Club driving day, here she has 30" General Grabber ATs and a 1.5" Explorer Pro-Comp Spring Lift...

 

Moving "Up" int he world... just come back from LA Supertrux, Daventry after having a 3" bodylift fitted, these days people are fitting them themselves, but back then it was considered a major modification, mine was the third one done... the first two being Joe Nunes-Peiria's "Rhinosport" LWB truck and James Holloway's "Bigfoot" Vitara. Bullbar was custom made by my Dad's steel fab firm... designed by me! Upgraded to 30" Muds in this picture too...

 

Rear Bumper to match with a towhitch step as well, white modular steels have been fitted with the muds to save the alloys being scratched...

 

After months of deliberation and design, a rollcage was fitted. I wanted it to fit within the roof bars and not run externally down the sides of the body. Subtle 'eh? ;) The picture is one that was used for an article in 4x4Mart magazine.

 

A Safari Snorkel has appeared... picture taken on the North Wales coast.

Bless her!, gone but not forgotten!

 

No regrets, I had 8 years of fun out of her, but now she's gone to Vitara heaven,

She was broken up and sold off in parts in the first few months of 2005...
